A home on your home screen.
Keep PurlNote close. Use your existing account, library, and plan on your phone.
Follow the steps for your phone below.
Android
- Open purlnote.com/install in Chrome.
- Choose Install PurlNote above if available, or open Chrome’s three-dot menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen → Install.
- Open PurlNote from its new icon and sign in.
- In your browser or another app, choose Share → PurlNote. Some apps put the phone’s share menu under More.
Wait for Saved before returning to the other app. Details and topics are added afterward.
iPhone & iPad
- Open purlnote.com in Safari.
- Open Safari’s Share menu and choose Add to Home Screen. If shown, keep Open as Web App enabled.
- Tap Add, then open PurlNote from its new icon and sign in.
This installs the web app. It does not add PurlNote to other apps’ share menus. For now, copy a link and paste it into your library.
A dedicated iPhone Share Extension is planned. It is not available yet.
A few things to know
You need an internet connection to save. If a save fails, keep the share page open and select Try again after reconnecting. Offline queuing is not available yet.
Sharing saves a web link, not an uploaded photo or video. PurlNote can read only details the original site makes available. Your account’s normal save limit still applies.
Can’t see PurlNote on Android? Install the app in Chrome rather than creating only a shortcut, then reopen the source app’s Share menu. Look under More if needed.
