Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of PurlNote at purlnote.com, including its saved-link library, account features, AI tools, and subscriptions.

PurlNote is operated by Patry Thach, an individual doing business as PurlNote in Nevada, United States (“PurlNote,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By selecting the agreement checkbox and creating your account or completing the agreement screen, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the account features. Agreement does not enroll you in a paid subscription.

1. What PurlNote provides

PurlNote helps you save and organize links, notes, ideas, inspirations, and moments from the internet. Features may include previews, AI-generated summaries, topics, tags, search, and browser bookmark imports.

PurlNote is a bookmarking and organization service. Saving a link does not guarantee that the original page, image, or video will remain available and does not create a complete offline copy of that content.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live if higher, to create an account. Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account.

You may sign in using supported third-party providers. Their terms also apply to your use of their services. If you use PurlNote for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.

3. Free and Pro plans

Pro currently costs US$5 per month or US$48 per year, before applicable taxes. The pricing page and checkout identify your selected plan, billing interval, and charges.

“Unlimited custom topics” means Pro has no fixed numerical topic allowance. It does not mean unlimited saves, AI processing, or automated requests. Reasonable security and technical rate limits may apply to protect availability.

Imported bookmarks count toward your saved-link allowance. Processing runs in the background and is not guaranteed to finish immediately. Inaccessible or unsupported links may require your attention. We will provide advance notice of material reductions to paid plan benefits and an opportunity to cancel before renewal, as required by law.

4. Subscriptions, renewals, and cancellation

Pro renews automatically each month or year, according to your selected billing interval, until canceled. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method at the price disclosed during checkout.

Stripe processes payments on our behalf. Keep your payment method and billing information current. Manage or cancel your subscription through Your plan & billing. If you cannot access billing management, contact billing@purlnote.com.

Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless stated otherwise at checkout or required by law, Pro remains available through the end of the period you have paid for. Stopping use of PurlNote does not cancel your subscription.

When Pro access ends, Free limits apply. Paid features become unavailable, and additional saves or custom topics may be restricted if you exceed Free allowances. Downgrading does not by itself delete your existing saved links.

If payment fails, our payment processor may retry it and we may suspend or downgrade paid access. We will notify you before a subscription price increase takes effect, give you an opportunity to cancel, and obtain additional consent where required by law.

5. Refunds

Except where required by law or expressly offered by us, subscription payments are non-refundable and we do not provide prorated refunds for unused portions of a billing period. Contact billing@purlnote.com promptly about an incorrect or unauthorized charge.

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory refund, withdrawal, cancellation, or other consumer rights that apply to you.

6. Your content and permission to process it

You retain any rights you have in the notes, topic descriptions, bookmark files, and other material you submit (“Your Content”). Third-party material remains the property of its respective rights holders.

You give PurlNote a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, reproduce, process, and display Your Content as reasonably necessary to operate the features you use, including through service providers that generate previews, summaries, topics, tags, and search results.

This permission does not transfer ownership of Your Content or permit us to use your private notes in public advertising. You must have the rights or permission needed to submit and process Your Content. Do not submit passwords, access tokens, or confidential information you are not authorized to share with the service.

Your library is associated with your account and is not made public by default. Sharing a saved source URL may let its recipient access the original website, subject to that website’s permissions.

7. AI features and limitations

PurlNote uses third-party AI services to interpret and organize saved information. Relevant URLs, available page details, notes, topic descriptions, search text, and sometimes public preview images may be processed as explained in our Privacy Policy.

AI-generated information can be incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading. Review important summaries, classifications, and other outputs before relying on them. AI results are organizational assistance, not legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.

We may be unable to retrieve material behind a login, paywall, privacy setting, or platform restriction. Video processing may rely on metadata or a still thumbnail rather than the full video. We may update the models and processing methods used by the service.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use PurlNote for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or infringing activity.
• Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise the service.
• Access another person’s account or private library without permission.
• Bypass plan limits, payment requirements, or security controls.
• Use automation that materially disrupts the service or evades reasonable rate limits.
• Submit material you are not authorized to possess or process, or circumvent third-party access restrictions.

We may investigate suspected violations and restrict activity reasonably necessary to protect users, rights holders, or the service.

9. Third-party websites and services

We do not control or endorse linked websites or guarantee the accuracy, safety, legality, or continued availability of their content. Your use of those websites is subject to their terms and privacy practices. Saving a link gives you no additional rights to copy, download, redistribute, or commercially use its contents.

Changes to third-party platforms or service providers may affect sign-in, previews, imports, payments, and other features.

10. Privacy and account requests

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle account information, saved content, AI processing, payments, and operational data. We record the terms version and acceptance time when you agree.

Pro exports are a product benefit. They do not limit access, portability, or deletion rights you may have under applicable privacy law. Contact support@purlnote.com for account closure or privacy requests. We may need to verify your identity. Self-service account deletion is not currently available.

Information may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution, as permitted by law. Cancellation and account closure are separate requests; contact billing support if you also need help stopping a subscription.

11. PurlNote’s intellectual property

PurlNote’s software, branding, logo, and original website materials belong to us or our licensors. These Terms permit use of the service for its intended purpose and do not transfer ownership of those materials.

For an infringement concern, email support@purlnote.com with the relevant URL or item, a description of the rights involved, and contact information. We may restrict or remove material and suspend repeat infringers where appropriate.

12. Availability, suspension, and termination

We work to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free processing. Maintenance, outages, third-party restrictions, and technical limits may affect your use. Keep independent copies of important information; PurlNote should not be your only archive.

We may suspend or terminate access for material violations of these Terms, nonpayment, legal requirements, or significant security risks. Where reasonably practical, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue.

If we permanently discontinue a paid service before your prepaid period ends for reasons unrelated to your breach, we will provide a prorated refund for the unused period.

13. Disclaimers and limits of liability

To the extent permitted by law, PurlNote is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will meet every requirement, operate without interruption, or produce accurate AI results.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or business opportunities. Our total liability for claims arising from the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid PurlNote during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

These exclusions and limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability or consumer right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service or legal requirements change. We will post revised Terms with an updated effective date and provide advance notice of material changes where required by law. We will request renewed agreement when required, and obtain additional consent where legally necessary. Changes will not apply retroactively to disputes that arose before the change.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.

Contact support@purlnote.com so we can try to resolve a concern. This does not prevent you from exercising legal rights, contacting a regulator, or bringing a claim in a court available under applicable law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
